In the Upper School at Cape Henry, we have five students who came here from a boarding school in China. The students each put together a presentation on different aspects of Chinese life and culture. We saw photos of the students homes and school. We saw their classroom and outdoor areas. We learned that the students stay in one classroom all day and the teachers move from room to room. We learned about Chinese New Year and the special foods and customs that go along with this holiday. We learned that different regions of China are famous for different styles of cooking. We watched the Legend of the Dumplings which explains how a doctor helped heal many sick people. It was an outstanding presentation and we can't wait to connect with these students again!
