Jamison was watching his older brother Cam do homework. Cam had to write in paragraphs and Jamison asked him what that meant. Jamison explained to the class that it's when you write several sentences on one topic. When you switch to a different topic you begin a new paragraph. The class worked together to write three paragraphs on a fictional dinosaur. You can see below the sentences they came up with for a paragraph each on the habitat, physical description, and diet of this dinosaur. This was a great lesson for the children and if the children want to, they will be able to write in paragraphs when they do research for their dinosaur papers.
