The 100th Day of School

On the 100th day of school, we read the book 100th Day Worries by Margery Cuyler and came up with a huge addition equation to show how the girl in the story, Jessica, came up with 100 items.  The children counted their 100 items in 2s, 5s and 10s.  They put their items in a long line to see how long their 100 items were.  The children drew what they thought they would like like at 100.  They calculated the date 100 years ago, told how they would spend $100, and came up with many ways to make 100 by adding, subtracting and multiplying!
