The children wrote their first five page stories. These stories take about a week to publish. First, the children brainstorm their story idea using a word web. Then they use the web to decide the order in which they will write the story. They write a first draft with pencil and paper on five pages. The children add details or additional sentences on each page of the book. After revising and editing, the children type, print and illustrate their stories.
