Heads and Tails

The children played Heads and Tails to help them calculate all the ways to make a given number.  If the number was 9, the children dropped 9 pennies.  They would see 5 heads and 4 tails and know one combination to make 9 is 4+5=9 and so on.  This is a good way to help the children learn all of the combinations to make a total, and also, the children informally learned about probability by doing this activity.
